RECRUITING BASIS FOR N.Z. LAND FORCES
P.A. WELLINGTON, April 7. The view that the defence plan announced by the Minister of Defence was well founded, and was to be commended ,was expressed by Mr C. D. A. George, the Vice-President of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce to-day. “The training of the necessary regular personnel for territorial land forces should be pushed forward as a matter of urgency, and, even though this training must first be effected. there seems to be no reason whv the basis on which the force will be recruited should not be announced at an early date,” said Mr George. .
