RUGBY FOOTBALL West Coast Union Management Committee

Mr F. W. Baillie, presided over last evening’s meeting ot the management committee, also present being; Messrs W. Williams, Jaeksdn, E.- W. Todd, G. W. Ormandy, H. Clifford, S. McDonnell, J. K.. Bunt, E. W. Shannon, A. K. King,' A. Watkin, A. M. Jamieson and O. McLean (acting secretary) ■ The -Auckland Rugby Union advised that the union’s request for a match in Greymouth during the season has been referred to the match committee ior a report. Three applications for re-instate-ment from the Westland Sub-Union were considered, and it was resolved to forward same to the New Zealand Union with a tavouraoie recommendation. The Junior Advisory Board reported that the following weights - had been fixed for -the lower grades: Filth grade, 8 stone 4 pounds; sixth grade, 6.7; seventh grade 5.7. The committee also reported that all matches during the first two Saturdays would be trial matches. Regarding nominations oi fourth and fifth grade teams from Hokitika it was decided to request Westland Sub-Union to send delegates to a meeting of the Juniory Advisory Board at 7 p.m. next Tuesday to discuss the matter. Admission charges were fixed at Is for all adults with season tickets to be available at 10s each and holders of season’s tickets to be entitled to preferential booking oil the new stand to representative matches. Mr H. Clifford was appointed junior selector. .It was decided that three senior selectors be appointed this season. Celtic Club was granted permission to sell programmes for representative matches. FIXTURES The following rounds were fixed for Various competitions: Senior. two rounds; junior, three rounds; 3rd and fourth grades, four rounds. Fixtures for the week-end are:— Senior: Celtic v. Blaketown, Park 1, 1.30 (Mr King), Star v. Excelsior, Park 1, 3 p.m. (Mr Hogarth); Cobden v. Unitea, Barn 2, 3 p.m.. (Mi 1 Stewart); St Mary’s v. Kiwi, at %lokitika. Junior: Tech. 0.8. v. Cobden. Cobden, 3 p.m. (Mr Lindbom); Blaketown v. Celtic, Omoto, 1.30 (Mr Ferguson); Magpies v. Star, Park 2. 1.30 (Mr Thorburn). Third Grade: Cobden v. Celtic, Omoto, 1.30 (Mr iWlls); Blaketown v. Tech., Tech., 3 p.m. (Mr Fong). Fourth Grade: Celtic v. Tech, Teclu 1.30 p.m. (Mr Bunt); Cobden v. Blaketown, Cobden, 1.30, (Mr Anderson). Fifth Grade: Star v. Celtic* Park 2. 10 a.m. (Mr Agnew); Cobden v. Tech. Tech.. 10 a.m. (Mr Johnston). Sixth Grade: United v. Blaketown, Park 2, 10 a.m. (Mr Cockburn); Celtic v.
