OBITUARY
MR. ARCHIBALD W. E. McNEILL. The death occurred yesterday at the Westland Hospital of a wellknown resident of the Westland district, in the person of Archibald William, Edward McNeill, of Ruatapu, who had been for many years identified with the sawmilling industry. A native of Kumara, he was in his sixty-ninth year. Engaged in his earlier years at the gold-mining industry in the Kumara and Stafford districts, he went some 25 years ago to Ruatapu where he had ever since worked at the sawmill of Messrs Butler Bros, until his health failed about a month ago. He leaves besides his wife nine of a family. There are' five daughters. Mesdames S. Murtha Hokitika), W. Butcher (Ruatapu), and Misses Ellen, Patricia and Mary McNeill (Ruatapu). His four sons are John, Kevin, Archibald and Stephen McNeill, all of Ruatapu. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. R. Murtha of Awatuna.
