RAILWAY JIGGERS COLLIDE
CHRISTCHURCH, April 5 When two railway jiggers collided head-on near Cora Lynn on Saturday night, the rider of one of the jiggers suffered head injuries. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 9.30 p.m. yesterday. The Ferguson, a railway worker of Cora injured man is Frederick Delebere Lynn. The ambulance and Dr. J. W Avery, of Darfield, who left yesterday to bring the injured man to Christchurch, had to use a jigger, the only means of reaching his house. They carried Mr Ferguson for two miles on the jigger to Cora Lynn station.. Mi’ Ferguson’s condition was reported to be satisfactory last evening.
