Police Youth Club Praised by Council Of Sport President

Mr J. Meltzer, secretary . of the Police Association, and president ol the Dominion Council of Sport, when he visited Westport on Saturday, obtained a very favourable impression of the Westport Police Youth Club. With a full muster of the members at their school, Mr Meltzer saw tnem in different aspects of their work, admirably carried out under capable instructors. Pie was particularly interested in the boxing classes. ine visitor spoke to the members or the lead which they had given to the effort to start a chain of such clubs in this country. He said that they could take pleasure in the fact that they were pioneers in a grand movement, which could have nothing but good effects on the youth of New Zealand. Mr Meltzer congratulated all who were responsible for the progress of the club at Westport.
