(Our Own Correspondent) HECTOR WOMEN’S INSTITUTE. At the annual meeting of the above Institute, the following officers were elected: President, Mrs. Robertson; Vice-President, Mrs. Levy; Secretary, Mrs. C. Neilson (re-elected); Treasurer, Mrs. Barnes (re-elected); Federation Executive Member, Mrs. Tyler (re-elected); Committee: The above and Mesdames Little, McKenna, McArthur, McKinnon, Philp, Radcliffe and Cain; Delegates tn Federation annual meeting, Mesdames McArthur and Neilson. Results of the competition, something out of a flour bag. were: Mrs. Little 1: Mrs. Levy 2; Mrs. McKinnon 3 Arrangements were made for the Institute birthday to be held on April 13. HECTOR LABOUR PARTY. The annual meeting of the above was held in the Savage Memorial Hall, when the following officers and committee were elected: —President, Mrs. O. Tyler; Vice-President, M’’ J. Paynter, senr.; Secretary-Trea-surer, Mr. W. McFarlane (re-elect-ed); Committee, Mesdames Poynter arid Tyler, Messrs Poynter, Nielsen. J. Dixon, H. Goddard. J. Blair and the Secretary.

Mr. McFarlane was congratulated on the sound financial state of the branch. A substantial sum had been forwarded to the L.R.C. towards the organiser’s salary. Messrs Dowgray and Poynterwere re-elected auditors, and Mrs. Tyler and McFarlane delegates to the L.R.C.
