(Rec. 10.55). MADRID, April 2. Mr Myron Taylor, President Truman’s Special Envoy to the Vatican, arrived yesterday in Madrid. Mr Taylor had an interview with General Franco. It lasted for an hour and a half. , ~ The interview was held after tne United States Congressional Committee had rejected the House of Representatives proposal for Spain’s inclusion in the European recovery programme. . The news of the rejection of the proposal has so far been withheld from the Spanish public.
