REAL INFLATION

DUNEDIN, April 2 A young Scotsman who recently sold his overcoat for 1,000,000 dollars has arrived in Dunedin. He is Peter Parnell, who comes from the west coast of Argyll, near Oban. Mr Parnell. who intends to settle in New Zealand, brought the overcoat for a few shillings for use on board the ship during the trip to Shanghai and when he arrived there he accepted an offer of 1,000,000 dollars for it. "Tlhat kept me for about one day,” he said, “so great is the inflation in China.''
