Changes on West Coast Next Week

(Our own Correspondent) WESTPORT, April 1. The West Coast air service, as well as services throughout New Zealand, will undergo changes as from Monday next, April 5. So far as Westport is concerned the “Electra” from Wellington and Nelson, and the “Rapide” from Hokitika will arrive 20 minutes earlier, departing correspondingly earlier than the present schedule for Nelson-Wellington and Hokitika respectively. . The “Lodestar” 15-seater aircraft, will replace the “Electra” 10-seater aircraft at present operated on the services Wellington-Palmerston Nth.New Plymouth-Auckland; Welling-ton-Palmerston North -Napier-Gis-borne; and Gisborne-Auckland, with other alterations, mainly slight changes in times. The new West Coast time-table is as follows:— “Electra”: Wellington depart 10.20 a.m.; Nelson arrive 11.15 a.m.; Nelson depart 11.25 a.m.; Westport arrive 12.20 p.m.; Westport depart 12.40 p.m.; Nelson arrive 1.30 p.m.; Nelson depart 1.40 p.m.; Wellington arrive 2.30 p.m. "Rapide”: Hokitika depart 11.25 a.m.; Westport arrive 12.15 p.m.; Westport depart 12.35 p.m.; Hokitika arrive 1.25 p.m. North-bound connections may be made ’at Wellington at 3.20 p.m. for Auckland direct, at 4.25 p.m.. 4.40 p.m. and 4-55 p.m. (also on Friday only at 2.40 p.m.) for Palmerston North .also on Thursday only at 2.50 p.m. for Gisborne direct. Southbound passengers may leave Auckland at 8 a.m., Gisborne at 7.40 a.m., Napier at 8.30 a.m., Palmerston North at 7.20 a.m., 7.25 a.m., 7.40 a.m., and 9.30 a.m., connecting at Wellington with the ’plane for Westport.
