Britain’s Budget Surplus
Britain ended the financial year with a realised surplus of £653.380,863, which is more than twice the revised estimate of £269,000,000 in the November supplementary budget. The total of ordinary revenue for the year was £3,844,859.041 which was a net increase over the previous year of £503,635,683. Expenditure was £3,209,478,178, including £22,000,000 for sinking funds.
