Soviet Claims On Austria
LONDON. March 31. Russia, which has already cut her original claim on Austria from a lump suiii payment of 200,000,000 dollars cw-r iwo years to 175,000,000 dollars, lias now offered further to reduce the claim to 150,000,000 dollars in convertible currency over a period of six years. Western delegates at a meeting ol the Eig Four Foreign Ministers’ deputies to-day expressed qualified, appreciation of the new offer, but reaffirmed that Austria’s ability to pay should be shown and the problem of the disposal of German assets in Austria should be settled as at whole.
