On Thursday and Friday last, the 15th. annual trials of the Maruia Collie Club were held, proving most successful. Results are as follows:—

Hold in Ring (open): J. Horner’s “Jill” 94pts., and R. Gibbs’ Cup, 1; P. Gibbs’ “Spot” 931 pts., 2; A. Thomas’s “Jill” 93 pts., 3.

District; S. Ralston’s “Moss” 86 pts. and S. Robinson’s Challenge Cup, 1; N. Gibbs’ “Tim", 85 pts., 2; R. Gibbs’ “Flo” 78 pts., 3.

District Maiden: S. Ralston’s “Moss” 86 pts. and M.C.C. Miniature Cup, 1; N. Gibbs’ “Tim” 85 pts., 2. J. M. Ford’s special prize of two guineas for the youngest competitor gaining 60 points, was won by' T. Lester’s “Mac,” 741 pts. Open Maiden: A. Thomas’s “Jill” 93pts. Head, Full and Yard (open): J.
