U.N.O. Atomic Deadlock
NEW YORK, March 30
The thirtieth United Nations Atomic Control Committee, which had the task of drawing up the glueprint for th e World Atomic Control Board, to-day reached a complete dead-end in the work. 'One member after another said there was no point in discussing the proposed international body in view of the Soviet’s adamant, stand on the basic issues.
General McNaughton (Canada) said there was no purpose in pursuing the matter further until the m.nority showed some sign of accepting the majority view. Professor Dmitri Skobeltsyn (Soviet) said the blame for the committee’s failure lay with the majority which followed th P United States views.
The committee adjourned without setting a date for another meeting.
