A.J.C. All Aged Stakes Won by Murray Stream
Beau Le Is Again a Failure (Rec. 11.0). SYDNEY, March 31. Murray Stream, who is near- the end of his racing career, won the All Age Stakes at Randwick to-day, by two lengths, from Money Moon, with Victory Lad half a length away third. Ridden expertly by an apprentice, J. Eaves, Murray Stream had the race won immediately after turning for home. Murray Stream has proved himself one of the best horses to have raced in Sydney in recent years. He has won two Metropolitans and his winnings total more than £20,000. Wattle, the only filly in the field, caused an upset by winning the Champagne Stakes from Gold Duke with an odds on favourite, Riptide, third. Rintide conceded Wattle 121 b. Beau Le Havre again failed in tne Cumberland Stakes (li miles), which was won easily by Russia. Beau Le Havre and Russia shared the lead tor I most of the way, but the New Zealand horse dropped back in the straight, and finished last. The principal results were:— All Aged Stakes. —Murry Stream 9.1 .(Eaves) 1; Money Moon 9.0 (Badger) 2; Victory Lad 9.1 (Briscoe) 3 Seven started. Two lengths; half a length. Time: 1.365. Champagne Stakes. —Wattle 8.8 (Munro) 1; Bold Duke 8.10 (Ward 2, Riptide 9.6 (Moore) 3. Six started One and a half lengths; half a length. Time: 1.12 L Cumberland Stakes/—Russia 9.2 (J. Thompson) 1: Chatspa 9.3 (Breasley) 2; Fresh Boy 8.2 (Cook) 3. Five started. Three lengths; head. Time: 2.57 L
