The death has occurred at Kaikoura, of Mr. J. P. Smith. He was the father of Mrs. W. Reedy, of Westport, and a brother of the late Mrs. A. G. Colvin. Well-known and verv highly esteemed resident of Kaikoura, the late Mr. Smith leaves besides his wife, two daughters, Mrs Reedy and Miss Josephine Smith, and one son, Mr. Leo Smith, the twe last-named being residerps of Kaikoura. Mrs. Mullane (Auckland), and Mr. F. Smith (Kaikoura) are a sister and brother of the deceased. Airways passengers were: Monday: From Wellington, MT. J. B. O’Regan; for Nelson, Mr. C.
