CAMBRIDGE WINS VARSITY BOAT RACE

(Rec. 8.30). LONDON, March 29. Cambridge won the University boat race on Saturday, beating Oxford by jive lengths. The winners set a record time, of 17 minutes 50 seconds. The previous best time was .18 minutes three seconds. There was, however, a strong following wind over most of the course The water was slightly choppy. The event was the ninety-fourth of the series. It was Cambridge’s fiftieth victory.
