After a gruelling struggle against Linwood Union (Dunedin) went down 13-0 to Zingari (Timaru) in the second match. More thrust among their inside backs and an accurate service from the scrums and line-outs were 'h Q factors contributing mostly to the 9-0 victory of Southern (Dunedin) over Albion in the main game at Rugby Park. NEW RUGBY SCORING iZoNDON, March 28 The decision of the International Rugby Football Board to make the value of a dropped goal three instead of four points has not won universal favour. Correspondence has started in the “Daily Telegraph,” and one writer describes the decision as the “most retrograde sten in the history of Rugby football.” He adds: “Surely one of the great glories of Rugby football was the anomaly of of a dropped goal, whereby a match could be pulled out of the fire and won by initiative and enterprise.”
