ATHLETICS LOVELOCK MEETS OLD OLYMPIC OPPONENTS

NEW YORK, March 24. Dr. J. E. Lovelock (New Zealand) Glen Cunningham (United States) and Luigi Beccali (Italy), who were placed in that order in the .1500 metres Olympic Games at Berlin tn 1936, came face to face to-day with Gil Dodds, the galloping parson and America’s chief hope in I lie same distance at this year’s games. They had a long chat over old times and future prospects at a luncheon held to publicise the film of the 1936 Olympics. Lovelock is now specialising in tne treatment of athletic injuries as u member of the staff of a New York hospital.
