Situation: There is a depression centred east, of the South Island. There is an anti-cyclone over the western Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.ni. on Wednesday: Moderate variable winds, with south-westerlies predominating. Cloudy, with scattered showers, ’ but improving. Temperatures: Moderate. Further outlook: Fair to cloudy.
