NAVAL VISIT NEXT MONTH
P.A. WELLINGTON, February 3. H.M.A.S. “Australia”, flying the flag of the flag officer commanding the Australian Squadron (Rear-Ad-miral H. B. Farncomb) and H.M.A.S. “Bataan” will visit New Zealand during March. Announcing this to-day, the Minister of Defence (Hon. F. Jones) said | that the ships, which are to leave Ho- j bart on March 1, would visit the fol- I lowing ports on the undermentioneddates: Dunedin, March 5 to March 9: Lyttelton, March 10 to March 15; j Wellington, March 16 to March 22; j I Auckland, March 24 to March 30. j The ships would leave Auckland on March 30 for Sydney, where it was expected thev would arrive on April 3. The Minister added that ho hoped to arrange for H.M.N.Z.S. “Bellona” to take part in combined exercises with the Australian ships during their cruise in New Zealand waters.
