LONDON, Jan. 28.

“The British Home, Foreign and Colonial Offices were last night inquiring into the legality and origin of Hebrew Legion posters which have appeared in London streets calling for recruits to fight ‘for the rirffitb of the Jews,’” says the Daily Mail. “Major Samuel Weiser, founder and chairman of the legion, said he was using the posters to recruit 2000 men wlio would sail for Palestine on Mav 15.

“A Colonial Office spokesman said: ‘After May 1, the question of these men entering Palestine will not concern us. It will then be a matter for whatever authority is set up—probably the Palestine Commission.’ ”
