Meetings of the Gre y™™th Westland War Loans have been held to receive from two West Coast delegates < the recent national can^ er h loan matters. (Messrs J. A. and J. Saunders). Arrangements are now well in hand with a view to reaching the “target set for the West Coast. It was decided at the national conference that the> oasisi of the objective for the eighteen pos.al districts in New Zealand should calculated on eight times the Nation al Savings annual quota for each district ' According to this calculation the Greymouth district’s requirements are £464,672, made up as fol--lOGrVmouth £206752; Blackball £21632; Brunner ton £20800; Hokitika £70720: Ikamatua Jacko Bay £4992; Kumara £12896, Momia £2496; Ngahere £3744; Otira ■_ Reef ton £34528; Ross £10312 Hunan £42016- Stillwater £3(44; Waiuta £14560 Total £464672. This’ week a public meeting is being called here by the Mayor. Tomorrow evening a public meeting is being held in Hokitika, as decided on Friday at a meeting of the War Loan Committee at Hokitika at which Mr. P. R. Hanna, Chairman of the Associate! Banks attended. Stens are being taken to see "-hat every individual in the district will be contacted in an endeavour to ra se the sum set for the district Sub committees are to be formed every town in order to get the best possible result from every section of ' the community.
