RELEASE FOR CIVILIAN POPULATION. WELLINGTON, June L Limited supplies of honey are now being made available bv the Internal Marketing Division to merchants in the main centres for distribution among grocers for sale to the civilian population. Endeavour's are being made to secure the co-operation of merchants and retailers go that distribution among civilians will be as equitable as possible. There would be insufficient honey to meet all civilians’ demands, as it was hoped to give priority in supply to mothers with families of young
children and after that to elderly people, said the Minister of Marketing iMr. Barclay). He appealed Jo’ consumers to assist grocers by r.ealis-
ing that they would give priority in their distributions to those wno had the best claim —that was young children and very old people.
