JAPANESE ATTACKS
On U.S.A. Coast
THREE REPORTED.

There have been three Japanese attacks on the west coast of the United States. Two of them are reputed to have been made by planes from submarines, while one was a shelling from a' submarine. The attacks were disclosed by Forestry Officials, when giving evidence before a Senate Committee.
Lyell Watts, Chief of the Forest Service, said that all of the attacks were made on the coast of Southern Oregon, but he did not reveal the dates. He said that one fire was started, ftut it was soon extinguished. Bomb fragments, with Japanese inscrintions on them, were found. The Army revealed the dates oi the Japanese attacks on the Wesr Cnast of the United States (cabled tonight) as June 21, Sept. 21, and Sept. 28 last.
