CANADIAN RECRUITS

Half of Men Rejected OVER 70,000 DICHARGED AS UNFIT. LONDON, June 1. The Canadian Press says that fifty of every hundred men examined for enrolment in the Canadian Army have been rejected. Of these 35 per cent, have been rejected for physical disability, while 15 per cent. have been rejected for emotional instability. This information was given to the House of Commons by Hon. Mr Ralston.

The Minister added that thusfar there had been 74,410 discharges from the Army on medical and mental grounds.
