STATEMENT FOR AUGUST. 1937.
Estates of a value of £488,600 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during the month of August, 1937, compared with £473,668 for August, 1936. The total value of the estates under administration by the Public Trustee on the 31st March, 1937, was £60,770,814 and the new business for the five months endsd 31st August, 1937, was £2,503,174 compared with £2,448,682 for the corresponding period last, year. , , Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 187 for the month. During the month 373 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were prepared on testators and lodged for safe custody, and 377 existing wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators. The total number of wills now held in the Public Trust Oflice on behalf of living persons is 89,293.
