N.Z. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS. [Per Press Association]. WELLINGTON, September 20. The Dominion amateur wrestling championship preliminaries were held this morning. Results:— Bantam: Todd (Canterbury) beat Reid (Otago) by two straight falls. Feather: Jones (Auckland) beat Frampton (Southland) by straight falls. Bradley (Wellington) beat Thompson (Otago) by one fall. Light: Mclnnes (Canterbury) and Double (Auckland) both won by default. Thomas (Wellington) beat McCormick (Hawke’s Bay) by straight falls. , t (Welter: Wilson (Canterbury) beat Nichol (Auckland) by straight falls, Scudder (Hawke’s Bay) beat Conley (South Canterbury) by straight falls. Waldron (Wellington) beat Idour (Otago), on points. , Middle: Godfrey (Wellington) beat Davis (Southland) by straight falls. Coughton (Otago) beat Harris (Canterbury), on points. NOLAND DISQUALIFIED. AUCKLAND, September 20. _ Don Noland was disqualified in his bout with Lofty Blomfield at the Town Hall to-night. Previously, each had secured a fall.
JUDSON AND CHRISTY DRAW.
WELLINGTON, September 20. Frank Judson and V. Christy, wrestled a draw at the Town Hall this evening. Christy secured a submission fall in the fifth with a figurefour body scissors. Judson evened in (he sixth with a body press following a giant swing.
