THREE KILLED AND MANY INJURED. ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE FOILED [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.l FOLSOM (California) Sept. 20. One guard and two convicts were kiled, and Warden Clarence Larkin was critically injured, while at least seven others were hurt, as the result of an unsuccessful attempt by several convicts to escape from the penitentiary here. _ ... During savage fighting with knives and clubs in the prison yard, Warden Larkin was stabbed in the abdomen, and he is expected to die. A squad of reserve guards overpowered the convicts.
