WESTLAND FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION. The weekly meeting was held on Saturday evening, those present being: Messrs F. M. Smyth (chair), W. Rafferty. J. Craig, C. Hodgson, G. Shotton, and J. Wood (acting sec- j retary). A letter was received from the Greymouth Borough Council notifying the Association that the Recreation Ground would not be available for football this season after Sept. 18. A letter was received from the New Zealand Council asking for further information concerning Prim- , ary school football. It was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the chairman to send all information on to the Council. On the motion of Mr. Craig it was decided to ask all clubs to forward j art union books to the secretary by j September 25. The matter of transport to Westport came up for discussion and it j was decided to leave the matter tin- J til next meeting. J On the motion of the chairman it was decided to abandon the Heslin Cup competition owing to the lateness of the season. It was decided to select the best team from the players not selected for the rep team to play the i;ep 1 team at Runanga next Saturday. B
