Against Nazi Paganism APPEAL TO AUSTRIANS. [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.J (Received September 19, 7.30 p.m.) CASTEL GANDOLFO. Sept. 18. The Pope deplored the plight of the Catholic Church in Germany during an address here to pilgrims. The Pope’s remarks also contained an outburst against the activities of the Nazi writer, Rosenberg. He said: ‘‘This self-styled Prophet, who acts and writes against all that is Catholic and Christian, has, not yet been acclaimed in Germany. The Pope exhorted the Austrian people to remain faithful to Catholicism, and to give a much-needed example, in Central Europe.
