N.S.W. MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS. [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] (Received September 14, 10.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, September 14. In the New South Wales Amateur and Professional Golf Championships to-day, there were two surprises. One was the defeat of Jim Ferrier, two and one, by the youthful D. J. Davies, and the other was the elimination of Von Nida by Eric Gremin, four and three. The results were as follows: — AMATEURS. Ryan defeated T. McKay, eleven and ten. Tanner defeated Roe, 5 and 4. D. J. Davies defeated J. Ferrier, 2 and 1. Williams defeated Headly, seven and six. PROFESSIONALS. Booth defeated Howard, six and five. Richardson defeated Thomson, four and three. Walker defeated W. Bolger, at the 39th. hole. E. Cremm defeated Von Nida, 4 and 3.
