BLACKMAIL CHARGE. [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] RICHMOND (Virginia), Sept. 13. Frederick Wood was charged with attempted extortion by threatening to "expose” a film actress, Madge Evans. It was alleged that Wood sent a letter to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Co., demanding 2000 dollars for compromising photographs of Madge Evans.
