PENSIONER KILLED
Hit and Run Motorist AUCKLAND ACCIDENT. [Per Press Association], AUCKLAND, September 11. Struck down by a motor car as he stepped from the footpath to cross a street in Mount Albert road at about 6.30 o’clock on Saturday evening, Harold Arthur Rogers, a single man, aged 50 years, died in the Auckland Hospital this morning. Concussion, a compound fracture of the right arm, end injuries to his back, were suffered !.■■ Rogers, who was a war pensioner. ' Three persons witnessed the accident. A description of Ihe motor car, which did not slop, was given to the police.
