FR.ES. CllßlS'rciTußf'H, Feb. 28. Serious damage by fire was caused early yesterday morning, when Free and Roskilley Chemical Factory was partial Iv destroyed. The City Eire Brigade re ceived a' call at 3.5 a.in. to a factory block of brick buildings at 27 South Crescent Road, Addington. The firfliad a. strong hold, and before the flames could be checked much damage resulted to the stock and buildings. OHAKUNE, Feb. 28. Fire early on Sunday morning at Ohakune totally destroyed the auction mart occupied by J. Quirk, and the bootshop occupied by J. Wilson. lhe buildings were insured for £6OO, thestock in the auction mart for £650, and the stock in the bootshop for £l2O. The Fire Brigade made a. brilliant save, a-> practically all the business area was threatened owing to the strong wind. BOY SEVERELY WOUNDS HIMSELF. PAIIIATUA, February 28. Arthur Burns Dick, aged eleven, son ul James Dick, Ngaturi, was admitted to the Public Hospital with a very severe wound in the right loot, in front of the ankle. He was using a slasher, and slipped while cutting blue gums, .ind severed the whole of the sinews. A BOARDINGHOUSE BURNT. MORRJNSVILLE, Feb. 28. A fire destroyed a 12-romed boardinghouse owned by Mrs M. C. King, on Sunday night. The. premises wosb insured, but the owner is a heavy loser.
