AlaL iroy, of the Forest Service, and formerly of Hokitika, and is a brother of the Dominion Junior Tennis Champion. The death is recorded of a well-known and respected Barrytown resident. Airs Richards, wife of Air Thos. Richards. Deceased, who was affected with heart disease, was 59 years of age, and before coming in 1917 to Barrytown, she was a resident of Black’s Point, Inangahua. She leaves a large family, nearly all grown up. The funeral takes place tomorrow. The death has occurred at the AVestland Hospital of a former well-known j horseman, Air AVilkam Berdinner, of | Kumara. He was fifty six years of age. A quarter of a century ago Billy figured prominently on the turf on the Coast, being a good all-round horseman. Besides his father, who is a Kumara resi- ; dent, he leaves a brother, Air Edward Berdinner, of AVestport, and two sisters Airs Aiorrish, and Aliss Alary Berdinner, of Wellington. A London cable records the death of Air Arthur AlcAlanus, who was alleged to have been the signatory of the notorious “Zinovieff letter,” which just prior to last general election on Britain was exploited for the purposes of anti Labour propaganda by the Tory politicians and press in a shameless manner. Ihe Soviet to this day insists rhe Zinoveiff “letter” was a forgery. Alanv friends will regret to learn or* the death of Air Horace Aloore, a. wellknown State miner. Mr Aloore, who worked at the Kewanui mine, expired suddenly on Sundav. He was formerly engaged at mining in the Inangahua district, and was thirty nine years of age. He leaves a wife and a family of tour children, to whom many fiiends will extend sympathy in their loss.
