IRELAND BEATS SCOTLAND. LONDON, February 26. At Dublin 20,000 peopre witniessed the international Rugby match played in rain in which Ireland beat Scotland by six to nil. WALES BEATS FRANCE. LONDON, February 26. At Swansea t welve thousand saw Wales beat France by 25 to 7. The match was played in rain. DOMINION STUDENTS BEAT ENGLISH V ARSITUI;. LONDON, February 26. In a match at Twickenham, the Dominion students beats the Combined Oxford and Cambridge University team by 8 to 6. Saxon scored a try in the first half for the students, Bettington converting it. Later on Malfroy broke away and doged through several opponents. Then he passed to Saxon, who Scored his second try. LONDON. February 26. In the Dominion Students’ t<am that defeated the Universities. Bettington was the only Australian playing. The Mew Zealanders were Malfroy and K. Saxon f centre three-quarters), and S. Gilmer (forward). Saxon was the outstanding player, -coring both the tries. The first was the result of a splendid swerving cut through the centra. He nearly scored another, but slipped a ynrd from the line after beating the defence. Gilmer played a great winging game. Bettington was always prominent and converted one tty. Malfroy tackled well. The Dominion Students were somewhat lucky to win. fhe Universities were aided by a strong wind, and they maintained almost continuous pressure, tn a great part of the second half, and it was only strenuous and whole-heart ed tackling that kept them out.
