DOGS WITH WARMED BEDROOMS Eight years spent in looking after 56 Pekingese dogs, each requiring as mucn attention as a baby, is the experience of a kennelmaid at Ashford, Middlesex, who had charge of the champion Tai Yang of Newnham and her many puppies which, with one exception, all won prizes at the open show of the Peking Palace Dog Association at Afarylebon -. “Their kennel is close to the house.’’ said the, kennelmaid, “and has careful-ly-hcated playrooms and bedrooms. In a special kitchen I prefare their food, chiefly boiled rice and mutton. Each dog has a wicker bed, cushion, am! blanket. They take up every minute af my working day.” The number of entries at the show I •roved that “Pokes” are fourth favourites on the lists of dog statistics,] ind that many women are making a good living from breeding them.
