FRAYER BOOK CONTROVERSY. (Reed. Feb. 23 at 10 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 23. Despite many protests against the se' reey, including that of Bishop Frodi s’liam, at York, the Lower House of the Convocation sat in camera. The Convocation of Canterbury ear ried a resolution thanking the Upper House of the Convocation for requesting the Lower Houses to submit its Prayer Book suggestions and also carried' a resolution deleting a reference to the Upper House's consideration of the question “in a wise and.generous spirit. ’ ’ It also submitted the House of Clergy’s connections to the Psalter. It was resolved to hold over the matter of omissions made in-the ealendai until the Commission has reporter thereon. The Convocation defeated proposals for th" insertion of Acts of Faith in the Prayer Book.
