The bride, who was given away by Mr. Hopkins, of Greymouth, looked charming in a dress of shell-pink crepe de chine, beautifully embroidered with hat, shoes and stockings. The bridesmaid was Miss Joy Hop kins, who won* a dress of dove grey • crepe de chine, and hat ensuite. Mr. J. R. Hairs, of Greymouth was best man. (After the ceremony the wedding reception was held at Ballantynvs\ Later, I the newly-married couple left by car •or Timaru, the bride travelling in a ensemble suit of fuschia shade, with hat to tone. Air. and Airs Trouland have returned to Greymouth. . A very pleasant evening, in the form of a welcome, was tendered to the Rev and Airs Bell on Alonday evening last (reports our Runauga correspondent). A musical programme was rendered, items given bring as follows: —Gramophone selection, Air G. Elliottc; vocal solo, “Until,” Air T. Tarrant; exhibition of club swinging, Air D. Kendrick; vocal sob-. “Absent,’’ Airs D. Kendrick; monologue, Mr G. Elliotte; vocal solo, “Island of Dreams,” Miss E. Finch; monologue, “Rosy’s Relations” Rev Bell: vocal solo, “Adelai,” Afiss N”. Ogle: sketch, Rev and Mrs Bell; \ocal solo. “O How I Miss You To night,” Aliss N. Median; monologue. “Minding the ole,” Air Ogle; vocal solo, “My Old Shacko,” Mr Ogle. 1 here were present visitors from Cob ilen and Greymouth including Arch deacon and Mrs Carr. Aliss G. Goodwin was a splendid accompanist for the singers. An excellent supper was provided by the ladies of St. Thomas's Church, and the evening was concluded by the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
