MR H. E. HOLLAND, M.P.
ADDRESSES TO CONSTITUENTS. (Special to Argus.) WESTPORT, February 21. Yesterday morning, Mr. 11. E. Holland addressed a well-attended meeting at Stockton, Mr. Adds presiding. Mr. Holland outlined the Labour legislation of last session, and also dealt with the situation in China. He received an enthusiastic hearing, and was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. At Millerton where Mr. Holland spoke yesterday afternoon the attend anee was large. Mr. Clarke (Miners President) was in the chair. Mr. Holland spoke for two hours on the sumclines as at Stockton. His address was followed with close attention, and warm approval. A vote of thanks and confidence was moved by Chairman and carried with applause. At Waimangaroa, Cr. Hawes presided over Mr. Holland’s meeting. He then dealt with land legislation, dairy control, State advances and the Bank ot New Zealand, and also with the mort gage system. He had an appreciative hearing and the usual vote was moved by Mr. Stewart and seconded by Mr. G. Walker and carried with applause.
