RECORD HIGH JUMP. WELLINGTON, Feb. 21. A remarkably fine performance was put up in the high jump at Olympic Club sports meeting yesterday. Brady and Skeats both cleared 5/10| inches. The former then went on to achieve six feet. This is the best jump ever recorded by a New Zealander in New Zealand. The Australian record is 6/14, made by Kelly of Victoria, which was also put up in New Zealand. Brady endeavoured to clear 6/1:1 ai,a only failed by a touch. RECORD SPRINTS. NEW”YORK, Feb. 19 At Pomona (California), reducing the world record set in Australia by two seconds, a quartette relay team, including Paddock, sprinted 2-0 yaids on Saturday in 20 l-16secs.
