MARCONI COY.

DISSENTION EVIDENT. ADVISERS HUFFED.LONDON, February 19. OXFORD, February 19. A statement has been issued on behalf of Marconi’s shareholders. It points out that the Board of Directors have agreed to accept all the Advisory Committee's decisions when formulated, but the Shareholders’ Committee have demanded the right to reject or accept the Advisory Committee decisions, if it thought fit. The Advisory Committee has therefore refused to act. The Shareholders’ Committee is preparing its own proposals for the general meeting. Tim “Financial Times’’ says: “It is officially announced, by Marconi’s Wireless Telegraph Company that the Advisory Committee, consisting of Lords Ashfield and Buckland, Sir Hugo Hirst, and Mr Szarvasy, are not now prepar ed to act in that capacity, the Shareholders’ Committee being unwilling t accept it as a cardinal condition that the recommendations of the Advisory Committee should be supported by the Board and by the Shareholders’ Com mittee.
