WELLINGTON, February 18. Air D. ('. Bates reports: The present indications are for southerly breezes, veering to north-westerlies shortly, and freshening in and southward of Cook Strait. The weather will be fair generally, but some passing showers are likely along the east coast, and it will become cloudy later in districts with a westerly aspect. The barometer has a rising tendency.
