P. AND T. PICNIC.
The annual picnic of the Greymouth P. and T. staffs was held on Sunday at Seven Mile. Fully one hundred officers and friends journeyed to the picnic. The site chosen proved ideal, surf bathing being in popular favour. After addressing the gathering at the end of the outing, Mr T). M. Mclntosh, | Chief Postmaster, distributed the trophies to the sports winners. Following. are the results of the events:— Girls’ race (wee tots) —11. Thomson I, Nellie Win 2; Boys’ race (wee tots) —G. Hansen 1, D. Thomson 2; Girls, under 15 years—M. Seebeck 1, J. Denia 2; Boys, under 18 years—C. Watson 1, J. T. Molloy 2; P. and T. Handicap (officers only)—T. M. Mead 1, H. L. Geebeck 2; Single Ladies’ race—M. Seebeck 1, J. Benia 2; Single Men’s Bace—J. R. Nash 1, C. Watson 2; Three-Legged race (lady and gent)— Mrs Secbeck and L. Melrose 1, M. Seebeck and C. Daly 2; Married Ladies’ race—Mrs Seebeck 1, Mrs Neill 2; Married men’s race—R. Thomson 1, S. C. Mercer 2; Wheelbarrow race—J. Smith, and H. L. Seebeck 1, R. W. Dunwoodie and C. Watson 2.
