It is indeed gratifying to know that citizens have been so anxious and willing to assist us, by monetary grants, placing cars at our disposal, and assistance under various headings. We are fully conscious of the responsibility of our undertaking; our one aim will be to do that which will elevate our town in the eyes of the rest of New Zealand. We trust to see you all at the Town Hall this evening to hear your Band give its Contest music. Your at- - tendance in large numbers will assist us greatly in our undertaking, and there we can take leave of you and carry with us your best wishes for a successful issue.
