FORMALLY ENTHRONED.
(By Telegraph-*- Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 25. Another very large congregation assembled at the Cathedral, this evening, when 'Bishop Orossle]' was formally enthroned. The Bishop, in the course of Ms sermon, paid a tribute to the work of his three predecessors in the diocese, (Bishops Seiwyn, Cowie and Neligan). He made a special reference to the excellent work done by Bishop Seiwyn, in spite of many legal hindrances, in establishing the constitution of the church in New Zealand, on a satisfactory basis. In referring to the work of this diocese, .he said, that ~dts linkage with Melanesia could never ;be deserted, but he said in its own loackblocks. and ['■■never never" lands, surely some of the noblest toil of your sons is being done , while the Maori people are ever our test of the wondrous workings of God. The offertory was in aid of the Hukarere girls' school .

The overdraft has been wiped out in tlhe twelve months, and there is a clear credit of ,£7200 fo the new 'financial year. Councillors have given warm praise to Mr YVilf ord f o his keen and intelligent \ attention to the city's large business -affairs, and his recoud of solid work deserved the compliments. His practice was to keep a vigilant eye on J the various departments, and to take a close reading at least once a fortnight. .
