Mr. John Murray, a publisher, in. referring to the Canadian Copyright Bill, said that there was a manufac- ' turing clause in the Australian Act, 1905, which would presumably come into force if the ißritish Bill becomes law. If the other, self-governing parts of the Empire follow suit, it would be disastrous for British authors.
