South Australia and Tasmania are represented by their Agents-Gen-eral, and . New Zealand by the High Commissioner. Earl Meath welcomed the delegates. Mr Runciman (Presi-; dent of the Board of Education), who presided, said that the object of the conference was to briny to a common stock the intellectual forces of . the Empire. By this influence the Empire was producing men in whom lay Imperial strength.
