" — . *&. Fair weather has prevailed on the East Cast districts, ibut showery in parts elsewhere, and thunderstorm and heavy rain occurred on the West Coast of the South Island last night. The barometer has fallen considerably in the south ,and northerly arid westerly winds have increased generally. Present indications are for stormy weather, and high northerly and westerly winds strong to gales ..southward of New Plymouth and Napjer, veering to southerly in about sixteen hours. Rain is probable in most parts, and heavy in West Coast districts southward -of New Plymouth, with ravers rising. Barometeer is likely to fall, but rise everywhere after from 16 to; 20 hours. -
