THE FRENCH LINE.

The .general manager of the Messageries Maritime Company emphatically denies the rumour that the com pany contemplate withdrawing from thee Australian trade. The present contract expires in July 1912. Negotiations between the company and the French Government for a renewal of the contract have not been completed. No one"is yet able to say what the new agreements will fee.
